First steps in our self-consumption PV solar project for the Organization “El Despertar”
Our Solar Division at Amara NZero has been working hard in the last weeks to achieve our goal of installing a self-consumption PV solar system at the organization “El Despertar” for people with cerebral palsy.
This department has engaged the technical management and project engineering with deep care, providing the experience and knowledge in the sector, to contribute to the cause.
During the technical visit to “El Despertar” that took place last July, the team collected data, measured and took photos of the connection points and the roofs. Additionally, they understood the areas for the PV modules and selected the adequate racking and defined the way down for electrical conduits from the roof to the technical rooms. These will allocate the inverters DC/AC, right next to the control boards with the connection to the internal grid. Furthermore, the team understood the space in those rooms and the ways to set the TI devices, to proceed with the new wiring and maximum amperage while complying with the structure and current electrical setup of the building.
They are currently working on the design PV-Sol and the selection of the PV modules and inverters, before moving forward with the next steps:
- Engineering technical Project
- Creation of documents including measurements, drafts and timing of implementation, in order to request quotes to installers
- Awarding of the project to the installer
- Execution
- Legalization
The Solar Division of Amara NZero is working to design an optimized self-consumption PV system with as few surpluses as possible, with power and electric generation adapted not only to the physical available space on the roof, but also adapted to the consumption of the facility. This way, the surplus is minimal and the renewable energy generated is fully utilized. The goal is to set an example in the industry, considering that “the best self-consumption system is the one that best adapts to the consumption”.
This way, the Organization “El Despertar” will have two different systems, with two CUPS on adjacent buildings, each adjusted to the consumption of the building, available roof surface and its morphology. Both systems will pursue their legal processing, setting the electrical, mechanical and working safety requirements. In this manner, our friends from “El Despertar” will be able to self-consume their solar energy in optimal conditions, both technically, energetically and legally.
